God bless you. I want to use this opportunity to welcome all those who joined our newsletter. It is my firm belief that you will be blessed by the Holy Ghost inspired content we send out once every week. If you have not followed the article from the beginning, you can find the earlier series 1 and series 2 in the links highlighted.

Today, I have something interesting to share with you on the power of declaratory prayers and your words. Perhaps one of the reasons why believers always keep their mouth mute is because of the poor understanding of the power of the words that we speak. The moment we understand that our words will not only move mountains but create what we want, our perspective on our words will change. That is my assignment in this newsletter today to open your eyes to the power of your words.

I will begin this by telling you a story related by one of the greatest pastors in South Korea, Dr Yongi Choo, one of the spiritual fathers in that Asian country. On a bright day, a doctor walked into his office and said in astonishment:

“I want to tell you about the recent discovery that has been made in the field of medicine about the brain.”

“Tell me,” Dr Yongi Choo said.

The doctor went on, “there is this recent discovery that was made on the brain. Every time we begin to speak negative words, the speech centre of the brain which dominates other aspects of the brain sends signals to the central nervous system and other important parts of the body. If the words that we are speaking are negative, the brain sends those negative signals to the part of the body. If the individual is complaining that I am going to die soon, the speech centre sends signals to the central nervous system and other important parts of the body to begin to shut down as this person will soon die. If the message constantly sent to the speech centre of the brain is I am sick, the speech centre sends signals to other parts of the body to make the fellow feel sick.”

The words that you speak from your mouth are important to God as well as to you. If you fill your life with negative words, those words will create a negative life for you. The Bible clearly tells us that we are gods. And like I always say, if the Bible says it, then we really are gods. And what did God do? When he wanted to create the earth, he spoke words. The Bible tells us that the earth has an ear to hear the words of God. So if you can make declarations in line with the word of God, the ear of the earth is opened to hear what you have to say.

Jeremiah 22:29

O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the Lord.

The Bible says all earth, O earth hear the word of the Lord.

There is something I want to point out to you in the book of First Peter 10:10:

10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

The question I want to ask you is do you love life? Do you want good days? Do you want what God has promised you to come to pass in your life? Then watch the kind of declaratory words you speak from your mouth. If you keep declaring that I do not have the finances, I am always feeling sick, I can never be rich, then the signal that is sent into the spirit realm is to mark you out for poverty, sickness, and financial lack. Your words are important to you and to God. If you will enjoy the fullness of life in every dimension, then you must mind what you say.

When the children of Israelites began to murmur in the ears of Moses that he brought them into the wilderness to die, it became a prayer that God answered. All the people that complained in the ears of God never saw the Promised Land.

Numbers 14:27-28

27 How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me.

28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:

Sometimes the reason why things don’t work in the life of the believer may be traceable to the kind of negative declarations that have been spoken over time. I want to let you understand that the reason why God gave us mouth is to profit from it, and not for us to use it against our lives and destiny. Speak the right words today. Let your declaratory prayers be in alignment with the word of God, and the promises of God for your life and watch as your life turn around. God bless you.
