Unlocking Financial Doors (Pt.2)

In the month of September, the Lord has impressed on my heart to deal with a very important subject. The subject of wisdom in the life of every believer. We shall be dealing with wisdom for marriage, wisdom for a relationship, wisdom for eternity, and several areas that we need to apply wisdom in our lives in order to lead the life that God wants us to.

That is for the month of September, but today I have something interesting to share with you on the concept of unlocking financial doors through prayers. We have stated last week that the reason why so many believers have been praying and not seeing the result is due to the lack of understanding of how to unlock financial doors.

Knowing the Bible is one thing. And the application of the same Bible you have known is another thing. It is important that the principles stated in the Bible should be followed else the believer will be left with the song of frustration. But when we apply the principles in the Bible, answers to prayers are sure to come. Often neglected, one fundamental principle that will help the believer to unlock financial doors is giving. Whether it is tithe, Firstfruits, seeds, giving to the less privileged and the needy are keys that make your prayers to be quickly answered by the Lord.

Proverbs 19:17

He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

This is how God looks at your giving. When you extend a hand of giving to the poor and needy, you lend to the Lord. Simply put, your borrowed God! When you borrow God money, he gives you more than you ask of him. And the Lord will pay you. If you give $200, it is going to come back in triple fold of financial explosions. The Lord will pay you.

When you become a sower and a giver, there is no way that you will knock the door of heaven and God will not answer. I need to let you know this that everything you give out, is actually returning back to you.

Luke 6:38

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

The Bible says give, and it will come back to you, good measure, shaken together and running over. Your prayers should be prayed from the platform of giving life. That is why the Bible says we should remind him of his promises (Isaiah 43:26). One thing I love about the prophet Nehemiah is that he keeps telling God to remember him for all the things that he has done. And the Bible says for God is not unrighteous to forget your labour of love. If you have laboured in love by sowing seeds into the lives of people, God will remember you whenever you pray to him to unlock financial doors for you.

There is nothing that makes you a candidate of a financial blessing than the life of giving and sacrifice. Especially if that giving is coming as a result of the leading of the Holy Spirit. Whenever it is time for you to knock on the door of heaven for financial blessings, you will surely receive your answers quickly. Do you know sometimes when people are praying to God for financial blessings what the Lord Maybe saying? When a believer is asking God I need $1 million, the Lord may reply, what for? The one I have given you what have you done with it? The truth is that God is willing to answer your financial prayers if only you can learn to give out. And it is never God’s desire for you to become a reservoir. God wants you to be a channel of his blessings so that it can reach others. The Dead Sea is called dead because it doesn’t give out. Other rivers flow to it but it doesn’t give anything out. It takes and takes, and never gives out. And because the sea is greedy, not even fishes and other marine dwell in it.

And this account for the reason why some believers aren’t financially blessed. They aren’t givers. When the Lord blesses them, they will horde it. They are asking for financial blessings, and the answers haven’t come.

Beloved, giving life is a receiving life. If you bless others, you too will be blessed when you ask the Lord for financial blessings.
