The Wisdom of Killing all the Foxes

Yes, this might sound a bit scary especially when you are dealing with things in your life whose origin and source you don’t know. You can’t handle what you don’t know. Of all things which a believer must fear, are things which are present in the life of the believer without his knowledge or notice.

Zechariah 3:1

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

Joshua the High Priest stood before God ministering and fulfilling his priestly duties without knowing that there was something that was resisting his ministry.

Little foxes are dangerous and when they are hindering your prayers you might not even know that they are at work. You may be seeing your unanswered prayers as the problem, but unbeknown to you, it is the work of little foxes. For instance, the little foxes of complaining or ingratitude. They may look little, but they can serve as a barrier to the prayers that you have prayed.

Now that we are at the end of the year, it is wise to sit down and search out whether little foxes have been the reason for your so many unanswered prayers. And when you realize it, ask the Lord for mercy and for the grace to overcome it.

Some little foxes are so hidden that it takes the help of God to know them. You may need to go before the Lord in prayer for him to reveal to you what is hindering your prayers. Just like what happened to Joshua the High Priest whose resistance was terminated by the help of God. It took divine revelation before what was hindering him was revealed.  Instead of praying   more prayer points, know what stopped the previous ones from being answered. That is wisdom.
