Today, I want to share with you something that is an essential requirement for your Christian life on earth. It is called Love and His Presence. I hope this short article blesses you. Do comment on the post.
Numbers 17:6-8
And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.17:7 And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.
One measure of true love for God is an undying addiction for the presence of the Lord. If you love God or if your love for God is true, then you will long for his presence.
It is a strange phenomenon for a child of God to paint the sky with words that he loves God but finds it difficult to spend time with the God he claims to love.
In the above scripture, a time came in the life of the children of Israel that God wanted to affirm to the people whom he has chosen. God asked all the tribes of Israel to present each member of their tribe with his rod and all the rods must bear the names of the owner. The rods were kept in the tabernacle for one day. In the morning, when the Israelites awoke, Aaron’s rod budded with buds and it also bore almonds.
For all this while that Aaron was holding his rod, he never knew that what he carried has potential to bear and produce almond. However, just one day of exposure to the presence of God and the rod produced fruits. As a believer, your desire to spend time with God must not be on the basis of what he can do for you. But in the love that you have for God.
Although our scripture above showed us that the presence of God can do so much for a child of God, but when we spend time with God out of unconditional love then we experience a transformation of our lives and entire destinies.
- The Power of His Presence
A mark of Identification. Every believer who genuinely loves God will carry this sign with him. The presence of God with a believer is a mark of identification that God is the owner of your life. For God to show the people of Israel that the Levites are his, he singled them with the mark of his presence.
- The unleashing of inner Potentials
Prior to encountering the presence of God, I believe that even Aaron didn’t know that his rod has the potential to bud. The rod was only kept in the presence of God and afterward, it began to show some of the things it can do. The same thing applies to a believer, who is born again and filled with the spirit of God, the presence of God is the only key that can unlock what is contained inside of you. By showing your love to God through spending quality time with him, many of the hidden potentials that you have will begin to manifest. I firmly believe that every believer is loaded with God-given abilities that need the presence of God to show forth. No child of God is empty. The things God has placed inside of you are enormous. I need to balance this. The things that God has placed in you may be different from that of another. No matter how small yours is, it is still considered as greatness in the sight of God. Whatever God has deposited into your life, it is designed to respond outwardly towards men through the power of fellowship and spending time with God. It is only his presence that can make this gift and potential to be a blessing to your community, country, and to the whole world.
- Beautification
Do you want beauty? Then be addicted to the presence of God. Aaron’s rod maybe a dry stick that is hand-held, but when it made direct contact with the presence of God for just one day, it brought beautiful buds and it blossomed. Everything about God is beautiful. This is reflected in his artistic design of the earth. Go to the mountains. Look at the valleys and look at the skies and you’ll be surprised at how God designed most of these things. They all evince the glorious nature of God’s beauty. In the same vein, if you dwell in his presence, your life must be beautiful.

- Productivity
The presence of God is the key to productivity in life. A little exposure to the presence of God, made the rod of Aaron to produce almonds. In the same vein, every child of God that is spending time with God is entitled to be productive. You will experience all round productivity if you make the presence of God your tabernacle. And I decree today in the name of Jesus that as you spend time with God in prayer, in fellowship, or in communion you will be productive in your marriage, you’ll be productive in your finances, you’ll be productive in your ministry, you’ll be productive in your studies, you’ll be productive in your job, you’ll be productive in your business, in Jesus name. I decree all-round productivity in your life in the name of Jesus Amen.
God bless you
